We had such a great weekend. I have felt the best I have felt in probably a month, and it was fabulous. We keep on waiting for the chemo to hit, but so far so good. Maybe we can get through the first treatment without any major side effects. That would be awesome.
On Saturday Grandpa & Grandma Goote came and picked Elise up for a sleepover while we went out to dinner for my birthday. They were ALL very excited. Elise got lots and lots of attention (like always) and they got to show her off at church this morning. We headed over to their house for lunch to pick her up... we missed her so much! She didn't get her usual naps though (she was having too much fun) - and she was OUT about 5 minutes after we left.
She also decided she wanted to play in the lake this afternoon...and I just happened to have my camera on me. She ran into the lake before any of us could stop her. She was totally soaked and she didn't even care.
Our house sure is quiet tonight... Thanks a lot Nick and Rachel for letting us keep her overnight. She was so much fun! We are so glad that you could have some special time for your birthday!
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you are feeling ok. That's a huge relief to everybody. And, Elise's hair is adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd those lips...!! So adorable! Glad you are feeling good, Rachel! What a fun weekend for all of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good news, Rachel. So glad you're still feeling good. I think Elise is very lucky to have such a wonderful (extended) family surrounding her all the time. What a cutie pie.
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so, so happy you feel ok. Elise is so cute, as always!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rach, so glad you're feeling good! Elise's cuteness is going to get you through this. She is some GOOD MEDICINE!
