So I was looking through all our old picture books trying to find a picture of me from when I was little that looks like Elise. There aren't any. But I did find these gems. Get ready for the awesomeness, cousins.
I'm guessing this is Christmas based on Stacy's "Beary Christmas" sweatshirt.
Nice, Dad. The glasses really go with the 7Up hat. That is a pretty awesome snowman, though.

Apparently I couldn't be trusted without my "First Prize Peas" bib but Peter did just fine keeping his suspenders clean. Typical.
Everyone please notice the awesome countstiched ruffled cover on the broom hanging on the wall and the giant basket of fake flowers in the background. Very 1989 chic.
Mmmm.... watering cans and swimmies.
Oh man, you kids were adorable (mostly). Here are a few comments:

*That lady in the background paying for ice cream is NOT me - I would never tuck my shirt in when I'm fat.
*David has quite the manly outfit on the ugly broom pic, speaking of which, I think AT made that lovely thing.
*My kids are very lucky here - none of them have their awful glasses.
*I remember almost all those clothes and coats.
*Could Petey's pants be any higher?!
*Rach - you look like you slept in something to make your pigtails curly.
*I need to get rid of my flower arrangement I still have out from 1989.
*And, finally, I think Elise does look a little like you on the last picture. I really do!

Pete's hair wasn't very curly when he was little! These all made me laugh...you are all so cute, and I can only laugh because I am wearing the same kind of clothes in all of my childhood pics, except I had really bad hair from home-perms (just in the bangs).

ReplyDeleteI finally had to throw away the 7 up cap while Brian was at work. The picture of us on the grass was taken from Grandma DG deck. Brian and John brought the kids over so we could see them because we were taking care of her those last days....STILL sad about that one.
