Sunday at the Lake

Sunday was the last beautiful warm day I think we'll have til spring.  That's a little depressing.  We had to take advantage by playing outside at the lake.  Charlotte and her double chin stayed inside.

Of course Grandpa went accross the street to rake a leaf pile just so Elise could jump in it.  So fun.

Nick likes to throw her around a little.  :)

"Hey you guys!  I'm way over here!"

She loves this balance bike.  I think she could probably ride her bike without training wheels - but I think we'll wait until spring to try that.

What a fun day!

bedtime at the gootes

Just your average Monday night around here.

This cutie loves bathtime.

She loves it so much she falls asleep while getting her sister ready for bed.

Sweet sisters.  "take a picture of me too, mom!"

halloweens past...

A few flashback photos for you guys.

Awwww....little peanut.  Lauren made her candy bucket too coordinate with her outfit.  She got one pack of M&Ms and was totally happy.
2011 - 1 year old

This might be my favorite costume ever.  Little goldfish.
2012 - 2 years old

I found this cupcake costume on ebay for $9,  Also we trick-or-treated in freezing rain and she refused to wear mittens.  Didn't last long.
2013 - 3 years old

And a couple from WAY back when....

I totally remember this costume.  My craft mom MADE it and even spray painted wings and a wand.  I remember feeling SO fancy.

A few things:
Whoa - the blush is out of control.
I had the denim on denim trend going on way back in 1996.
I'm pretty sure Lauren had a hanger on her head.
OY - the wallpaper.  Notice the light switch is perfectly covered to blend in.
Aubrey is the cutest.

Aubrey looking thrilled to trick or treat.  Actually this was her face a lot of her toddler-hood.  ;-)

randoms

Since I left my phone in the rental van in Florida I've been trying to take more pictures with my good camera.  This is the randomness that I've captured lately.

This little weirdo and her very fancy outfit.

awwwww...Daddy snuggles.

Sleepy babies.

Our friends hosted a pumpkin party for the kids.  And the adults.  But it was at ten in the morning so there wasn't any beer.  Still fun.  ;-)

We asked ourselves what we would have been doing five years ago at this time.  We all agreed we'd probably still be in bed thinking about where we'd go for brunch.  Maybe slightly hungover.  Maybe.  But now??  See below...this was the best picture I got.  I vote we do this every year.  Also we need some more boys.  Poor Lincoln is vastly outnumbered.  And in a choke-hold.
Olivia, Stella, Lincoln, Nicolynn, Riella, Elise, Charlotte
Still loves her sis.

charlotte gets baptized

Charlotte got all dressed up on Sunday for baptism.
This dress was supposed to be for Aubrey's wedding but was way too big.
It was still a little big, actually!

oh my cuteness.

After a few pictures we changed the poor thing out of the giant fluffy dress and into some jammies.  And then she fell asleep on Auntie Lauren.  She was OUT....notice the drool.

Thanks for the snuggles Auntie Lauren!

not quite like the other

A little comparison post.

Our girls don't look exactly the same!
Pretty close though.  Totally sisters.
I think Charlotte may look a little more like her mom.  :)

Love these babies.

"d" is for dairy cow

Elise's preschool class went on a field trip to a dairy farm today.
They were so cute.

Not too sure about the stinkyness.

They got to feed a baby calf!

This is as close as she would get.

florida fun

So we've had this trip to Florida planned for a super long time.
So even after everything happened we decided we should still go.
And we had fun.  Charlotte did too.  She loved kicking by the pool.

We had a day at the pool and then we did Animal Kingdom.  So fun and cute.

Be prepared - the awkward smile is on full display in these pictures.

Baby's' first safari ride.

She pretty much loved the Lion King show.

She spent a lot of time doing this.

She actually loved swimming the most.

Magic Kingdom.  Not as magical as I imagined.  So.Many.People.

The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique was a hit.

After the princess makeover we headed across the castle to lunch with Cinderella and her princess friends.

After lunch we used a FastPass on It's a Small World, and then decided we were all too hot to keep going.  So we caught the parade and headed back to the pool.

Thanks for a fabulous trip Mom and Dad!
