Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a great weekend out at the lake - the weather was perfect. We spent Saturday at the lake, and headed to Blue Water Grill for dinner for Aubrey's birthday. We took lots of boat rides and relaxed all weekend!

Another belly shot - I know it's not much different...but I like keeping track.
Baby Girl weighs about 2.5 pounds now! She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your tummy. Amazing. We've also got names down to two or three possibilities. It's so hard to choose!

calvin graduation & third tri (what!?)

This weekend was Calvin College graduation.

Nick's sister Sarah graduated and is now a registered nurse! Go Sarah!
And our boys Matt and Jake graduated and proceeded to leave us forever. We are very sad, but comforted by the fact we'll see them again in three weeks for Matt & Michelle's wedding. We will really miss our "brothers" we've had for four years...I think I have a tear. Sigh...
Ollie and I spent this afternoon out at the lake. It was 87 degrees here today and it was SO wonderful and relaxing. Here I am at 27 weeks pregnant - officially the third trimester! Only three more months until we get to meet our little girlie!
This is what a day at the lake will do to a little dog. Poor buddy is exhausted.

26 weeks - geez

I'm pretty sure Baby Girl has had a growth spurt the last couple days. Last week I was fine and all of a sudden I find myself making horrible beached-whale-type noises every time I get up off the couch or on my 4th trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night to pee. "OOOOUUUFFFFF." (pant pant). I'm pretty sure Nick thinks I'm crazy but but I'd like to see him wear a two pound (!!) eggplant between his belt buckle and nipples and not say "OOOOUUUFFF" when fighting gravity to stand up again.

Anyway. Here's a pic of me at 26 weeks (or SIX months) pregnant. eh.
Baby G has been VERY busy the past couple weeks. I can see and feel her moving around all day long...she must be having lots of fun in there.

And - I have been a little obsessed with Etsy. I find all sorts of stuff on there and being as cheap as I am, I think I can make all that stuff myself. I think I did pretty good with these cute little headbands. I put all these little flowers on clips so we can switch them out. Our baby girl will definitely be sporting some hip headgear.

sneak peek & a comment

Just a little preview of what we've been working on. Her room isn't quite done yet but it is just SO cute I couldn't help it.

Oh, and according to the lady with pants to her boobs at work I'm experiencing "not too much swelling". Thanks Lady. Why don't you put your elastic waist pants down to a normal level and untuck your shirt. And the pink socks and tennis shoes do not go with your outfit...although the neck scarf you were sporting today really looked fancy.

I'm mean. I know. Blame it on the swelling.

Mothers Day 2010

This picture above might be the only known pic of my mom, her mom, and me. Notice all the baby bedding/curtains/mobile all hand-made by my crafty mom.

Meeting a new sister...

That sister's wedding...
Happy Mother's Day to the best mom and best friend in the whole world. We are SO lucky to have such great mothers and mothers-in-law!

A shot of us on Mothers Day. Does anyone else find it crazy that next year at this time we will have an EIGHT month old? Oh my goodness...

A Wedding & 24 Weeks...

Good news - Baby G is considered viable this week. But keep on cookin' little girl! We need you to stay in there a LOT longer!
