dance recital

Miss Elise had her dance recital tonight.  

It was so stinking cute.

Seriously the cutest.  It was a little weird to see her with makeup on.  Kept getting flashes of her at 13...Nick's a little worried.  

We were allowed to take video at the rehearsal.  

She is more concerned about the way her bear is looking than the actual dance steps.  But she managed to get a few in there.

Friday we drove from San Antonio to Oklahoma City for my cousin

Nicole's wedding.  It was beautiful.  The cake was amazing and Elise danced until after 10.

This was how excited Elise was every day to swim. 

After her morning stroll with Grandma to Starbucks for her cake pop breakfast, we headed down to the pool.  We were the first ones in every day.  

The place was not very full this week. 

"Look at my fins!  I'm pretending to be a mermaid!"

The goggles were by far the best thing we bought the whole week.

Girlfriend spend more time underwater than above it I think. 

Her afternoon ice cream.  This one was called "strawberry shortcake" so it was of course her favorite. 

Kiddie pool.  Usually the only one in here too.  

We had dinner at a fancy restaurant one night.  Elise could just play in the grass while we were at our table. 

Her favorite thing was the "big big huge" slide that you went down in a tube into the lazy river.  

Let's all just take a minute to hug an armadillo.

Nick took Elise for a little walk during dinner.  Amazing view.

san antonio [riverwalk]

Last Sunday we flew into San Antonio and headed downtown to check out the Riverwalk.  After we slathered our pasty selves with sunscreen, we ate lunch at the cutest Mexican restaurant overlooking the river.  

We went on a little boat ride.  

There was lots of face grabbing and pointing.  
"Look! Gampa!  A duck!"
"Look!  Gampa! A red umbrella!"

"Gampa look!! That baby is so sad!"
"Gampa look!! Another boat with a guy on it!"
"Gampa look!"  You get it.  It was hilarious. 

It was a little hot for us wimpy northerners so you know we had a snowcone. 

Daddy may have gotten a few snowcone drips in the eye.

Elise got a new big girl carseat.  And she's the cutest thing ever.

I've been sewing quite a few of these little tops lately.  

I've been selling a couple too!  I try and sew at night so I don't eat. 

Thinking about starting a blog -- Let's Sew not Snack.

Elise practically sits ON my mom whenever we go out for lunch.  

The weather has taken a turn for the awesome.  

Open windows are involved. 

She might be a tad OCD.  

Got a peek at baby sister last week.  We had another ultrasound to check her heart.  Everything looked perfect.  

Thursday it was 80 degrees.  I got totally sunburned.  

Elise was wearing SPF 55.  We are SO happy it's finally warm!

Lake night on Saturday.  We put the boat in and took the golf cart to Maria's for dinner.  We even had a fire and Elise ate all the chocolate out of Grandma's s'more basket.  

Life is good.
