Meijer Gardens

The weather here these last few days has literally been perfect.  
Like 60 and sunny.  We just play outside all afternoon.
Elise didn't have school Thursday or Friday this week, so I signed us all up for flu shots and then we headed to Meijer Gardens.  

Also -- this little stinker -- I've never seen her throw a real fit until today.  
She DID NOT want a flu shot and made us hold her down while she screamed "I don't want a needle in me!!".  OY.  I did not expect that from her this morning.  And then after it was over she just says "Oh." and stops crying immediately.  Charlotte did infinitely better than her big sister today.   I only cried a little.  ;)

FMG is so beautiful in the fall!

We have a houseguest for a few weeks while my mom and dad are traveling. 

He likes it here.  He knows where to hide. 

The last few days have been SO nice. 

We're doing lots of playing outside.  

Our friends hosted a pumpkin party again this year.  

Olivia and Charlotte are 9 days apart.  I think.  :-)

This makes me laugh really hard.

Update

So I guess my posting is more like once a month. 

I'm going to try and work on that.  Really I am. 

So let's recap a bit:

The girls had their one year and five year checkups. 

We've got some healthy, happy girls on our hands.  

My girls have always loved Grandma's pantry.  

This ones from the birthday party weekend.  Look how cute they are!

Nick and I had a weekend away in Washington DC.  

We had no idea the Pope would be in town when we planned our weekend.

It was pretty crazy - but super fun.  

My friend Bethany and her husband Micah live in DC - we stayed with them and they showed us around.  We went to Maryland and had crabs and bloody marys on the water.  

We had drinks at the top of the W hotel - great views.   Insane drink prices. 

I sure missed my girls though.  

It's fall now!  We had a field trip to Post Family Farms last week.  

LOVES bottles still.  Oh wait - that's me.  I love bottles still.

Just a few pictures from our birthday party day at the Lake. 

One year old birthday parties are a bit anticlimactic.  

No one really cared about the cupcakes. 

The babies really didn't care too much about their presents.  

They pretty much just wanted to take naps. 

BUT it made for some super cute pictures.  

I had a super cute birthday tutu that Elise wore for her first birthday. 

It was far too small for Charlotte (surprise? NO) so we got her a new one.
