Our little weirdo...

We've got one funny girl.

She'd rather eat the straps on her high chair than any of the food on the tray.

I set her down after a we got home from some errands and ran into the kitchen, by the time I got back she had gotten the bow off her headband and was going in for the Cheerio strings...

She thinks bubbles are delicious.

And she also thought this was a comfy way to lay for awhile. She was so crabby so I took off her pants. She was fine after that and decided to lounge.

This is just a short little video - she loves to suck on these cups and she actually got some Diet Coke out before I started taking the video. She holds the cup SO hard.

Attempts at Crawling... and ETSY!

Elise has gotten pretty good at scooching herself backwards...

"Hey Mom - I'm under the coffee table!"

"Can I get a little help here?"

"Well as long as I'm here I might as well see what this tastes like.... Mmmmm - coffee table."

We had a little adventure in the kitchen this afternoon. I threw away every tupperware container that did not have a matching bottom or lid. Refreshing.

Drum roll please....... We have an Etsy store!

You may have noticed a new link on my sidebar that links to our Etsy shop: Sweet Gingercrafts! My sister Lauren and I have started our little own crafty corner of the web. It's super small right now, but we're working on adding a bunch more stuff. This adorable dress went up for sale today! I actually made two - one for Elise and one for Etsy. These little dresses are addicting - once I start I cannot stop until it's done! It's such a fun hobby.

Arizona Wrap-up

We had SO much fun on our vacation! We are happy to be home but the week went so fast. I think Elise kept wondering when she was going swimming today.

Blue Skies

We've got some blue sky in AZ finally! It was still a little chilly yesterday - but the pools were super warm!

She liked this celery stick at lunch. She's already a more adventurous eater than her daddy!

Don't worry - the child has tons of sunscreen on. I however didn't, and now I'm sunburned.

Luckily her little floaty thing is big enough for all of us to crowd around.

It's Cold and Rainy

The cold and rainy weather is following us. Yesterday was pretty sunny but today has been cold and rainy. We went shopping and now Elise is napping. Here are some pictures from yesterday...

We went to the pool and she LOVED it. We didn't take any pictures yet... still to come.

We're Here!

After a couple of pretty long flights where our sweet girl fought sleep, we made it to Arizona! Elise fell asleep for the last 20 minutes of both flights - stinker. We had a lot of tricks up our sleeve to keep her entertained. Suckers were kind of a last resort because they are SO sticky. But Grandma came prepared with wet washcloths (and pickles!)

Swing Swing!

Today the weather felt like spring. The high was 65 today! In Michigan this means people start driving with the tops down, start drying their laundry outside, and most people start wearing shorts. If the lake wasn't frozen still there would probably be people skiing. Crazy. We headed out to Grandma's to try out her swing!

Yes, that is still ice on the lake. It's melting though...sorta. We're getting desperate, folks.

Oh and today we also found out that when Elise gums/chews on a banana she gags & throws up. I've seen more barf today than her whole life combined. I had to take her home in just a short sleeve onesie and bare legs and feet! Poor buddy.

Naptime Update

I think she's got it! Praise the Lord.

She she has consistently been taking about an hour and half nap in the morning, and usually almost 2 hours in the afternoon! I have my sanity again - and more time to sew stuff! And it is SO fun going to get her when she wakes up. She is just so happy to see me again - it's so cute. Here's a little video I took today - the first 15-20 seconds are dark... but it gets cuter.

Sunday at the Gootes

We had lunch at Grandma & Grandpa Goote's on Sunday. Elise gets the prime spot at the head of the table - pretty much so everyone can get a good view. She and Sophie (the giraffe) are quite the center of attention.

All the Grandmas were cracking her up...
