"d" is for dairy cow

Elise's preschool class went on a field trip to a dairy farm today.
They were so cute.

Not too sure about the stinkyness.

They got to feed a baby calf!

This is as close as she would get.

florida fun

So we've had this trip to Florida planned for a super long time.
So even after everything happened we decided we should still go.
And we had fun.  Charlotte did too.  She loved kicking by the pool.

We had a day at the pool and then we did Animal Kingdom.  So fun and cute.

Be prepared - the awkward smile is on full display in these pictures.

Baby's' first safari ride.

She pretty much loved the Lion King show.

She spent a lot of time doing this.

She actually loved swimming the most.

Magic Kingdom.  Not as magical as I imagined.  So.Many.People.

The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique was a hit.

After the princess makeover we headed across the castle to lunch with Cinderella and her princess friends.

After lunch we used a FastPass on It's a Small World, and then decided we were all too hot to keep going.  So we caught the parade and headed back to the pool.

Thanks for a fabulous trip Mom and Dad!

charlotte {one month}

Charlotte is one month old!

She just the sweetest.

She weighed 8lbs, 10oz at her 1 month appointment.  So basically she gained a Baby Brian since her two week check-up.  She's starting to get rolls on her arms and legs. And her cheeks are chubbing out a little.  We just got back from Florida and the angel baby slept through every single flight.  Although before passing out on the last one she decided to blow out her diaper while we were still on the runway.  Thanks, little lovey.

We love you sweet girl!

charlotte -- baby model

It was a good mail day.
This newborn session was super awesome - and free.  I couldn't believe it.  She normally charges $600 for a newborn session, but she was teaching two other photographers how to do newborn shoots so she just puts a call out on facebook for babies a week old or newer.  And she picked us!  Obviously because I have a beautiful baby.  ;)

It took about four hours - the photographer would spend 20 minutes just getting her into the perfect pose.  It was intense.  And HOT -- she had the room at 90 degrees with a space heater.  Charlotte loved it though - she slept almost the entire time.

So in love with these pictures.

sister pictures

I wanted a few picutres of my girls together, so on Charlotte's three week birthday my neighbor (and photographer) took a few.  I had planned for the baby to be super sleepy - I kept her up, fed her right before...but she had other ideas.  And actually - they turned out super cute.

Elise was happy to pose for a couple test shots.

We mostly got awkward fake smiles out of Elise.
And Charlotte - well, this is as wide awake as she gets.

Oh my heart.  Look at those sweet girls!

She was not too sure about this.
I was two feet away and making sure Charlotte wasn't dropped on her head.

Hello fake four year old smile.  Oy.

I think I got the perfect one though.

Charlotte was lucky enough to be picked for a free (!!!) newborn session from a local photographer who was teaching newborn photography when she was a week old -- but I'm still waiting on those pictures.  And I don't want to be too pushy because, well, they're free.  So we're still waiting.  Hopefully we get them soon!  I can't wait to see them all.
