Watermelon

Elise was loving the watermelon we gave her this afternoon. She was only content if we let her hold it and she did it herself. It was very juicy.

For some reason she really wanted to be on the hard cement today. Except she couldn't crawl on it so she resorted to this...apparently this is still easier than walking.

Bike Ride!

We tried out our new bike seat and helmet tonight! Elise had so much fun - she was smiling the whole time. Or maybe she was squinting - it was pretty sunny. Either way she was definitely enjoying herself. FYI - baby helmets are hard to find. Target, Walmart, and Meijer only had helmets that started at age 3. I had to go to a special bike shop and buy the purple helmet with the crazy bunnies on it for $45.00. This thing better be F.U.N.

She was ready to get off by the time we got home...

First Steps!

Elise is taking a few steps now! She's taken 5 or 6 in a row and she get SO excited. (And the things on her knees in the video are wristbands my mom made into kneepads...)

Fourth of July Weekend

We started off the weekend on the most beautiful, hot, hot, day at the lake.

Elise had it made during a little afternoon snack.

Uncle Carl had Elise practically running through the house! She was having SO much fun! (We have to tuck her dress into her little bloomers so she doesn't trip over it when she crawls.)

Swimming Lessons

We're in our 5th week of swimming lessons. Today she had to wear winter clothes, socks, and shoes. She wears her regular diaper too and it weighs like 5 pounds afterwards. But she can still float! Mr. Michael thinks she'll have it mastered by next week.
